Keyvault connection timeout error from Data factory

Hi,

I am getting an error from past two weeks related to Keyvault. ADF accessing keyvault secrets from pipeline (linked services) and sometimes it cause below failure error. Its not regular as sometimes one or twice in a week, rest of the its working fine.

could you please suggest if someone facing similar issue and guide us accordingly?

Operation on target Load-Masters failed: Operation on target MasterData_HourlyLoad failed: Failed to get the secret from key vault, secretName: xxsecretname , secretVersion: , vaultBaseUrl: https://xxxxkeyvault.vault.azure.net/. The error message is: An error occurred while sending the request. Unable to connect to the remote server.
A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond xx.xx.xx.137:443.

Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platform.

As the issue is inconsistent, if you have a support plan, I recommend filing a support ticket for deeper investigation. The issue could be on ADF side or on the Azure Keyvault side. Definitely this needs deeper analysis.
In case if you don't have a support plan, please let me know here so that I can check on other options to take it forward.

Hi,

Above mentioned is quite inconsistent and could not replicate the issue.
I am not having an y support plan to raise ticket, am also checking with customer for the same.
could you please guide what are the possible cause for this disruption or if any specific area to check?

Hello @Sunil Gupta ,

It is really hard to predict with the provided information and hence I was suggesting taking support ticket approach for deeper investigation on the actual root cause.
As the error message says time out, it could be related to intermittent networking issues which is taking longer time but not sure as of now. It could be something going on internally on the product side as well but until a thorough investigation is done, we cannot come to a conclusion.

But if you ever notice this behavior again, I suggest filing a support ticket immediately to identify the root cause.
