Hello,

I have launched an "Active Directory Group Discovery" as well as "Active Directory System Discovery" but I am still missing some machines after 36 hours!!

Configuration Manager Servers: Windows Server 2016
Client missing: Windows Server 2019 Standard...

201889-2022-05-14-17-37-25-vitbmxx01-discovery.png

I checked the Active Directory Object
201968-2022-05-14-11-57-36-vitbmxx01-ad.png

and confirmed it is selected:
201920-2022-05-14-12-01-56-ad-system-discovery.png

I checked the group discovery:
201998-2022-05-14-12-00-23-memcm-ad-group-discovery.png

then checked adsgdis.log & adsysdis.log:

I see other machines from the same OU but not the missing ones...

DNS:
202021-2022-05-14-11-55-50-vitbmxx01-dns.png

I confirmed the Firewall is opened and other machine in the same OU & same subnet are discovered...

What else to be checked...

Thanks,
Dom

    @Duchemin, Dominique ,

    I understand.

Have you checked the following process?

Verify an A-record exist in the DNS for the computer that is not getting discovered. Along with A record, verify that a PTR-record also exists in the DNS. Ping the computer from SCCM server so that we know it's reachable/online. Run Nslookup on both sides to troubleshoot DNS issues.

    Is that okay?

    Hi @Duchemin, Dominique ,

You could check the client install logs. Hopefully, it points you in the right direction.
