Your payment was declined by your financial institution

Hello,

I have had a subscription for several years. My credit card has expired and I received a new one from the same bank.
When I try to pay with the new card I get the message "Your payment was declined by your financial institution".

my banker tells me that they have received (and accepted) the requests to pay 0€ (these requests occur when I enter the card number in order to validate the entry) but they have not received any payment (of 1300€) requests from azure.

what to do ? I'm afraid that azure services cut off.

Hello,

I already created a support request 5 days ago and I am still waiting for an answer ( it's impossible to change severity ).
I just tried another credit card but still have the exact same issue. The two cards that was rejected by Azure works well on another website. Now I am 100% sure that I am facing an azure bug.
The problem is my servers may go down and there nothing I can do ! it's frustrating.

Hello,
the support request ID is 2205110050001762.

thanks to roypp's message I rechecked the dates. the payment problem started before my card expired ! Here more details :
the credit card expires 5/2022. but payments started failing since 4/2022.

I I also tried the new company card (expires in 2024) and my personal card (expires in 2027) in any case the payments do not work and banks confirm that they are not receiving payment requests.

I'm having the same problem but my card has not expired. It just ceased to work. According to our bank, there has been a problem recently in strong authentication in many/most/all(?) transactions done by Azure.
My support request id is 2205160050002028.

The support was able to complete the transaction manually for the invoices that were due. No idea if it'll work the next month.

Payment gets declined for different reasons, which has to be checked from the backend individually.

As the issue seems to have resolved for couple of users here. Request others to update the status of their issue.

Hi @ttu-1299 Thank you for reaching out to us. Happy to assist!

From the details provided, I learnt that your old credit card expired and you received a new one that you added to your Azure account. However, the payments are declined.

First thing, can you confirm that the new credit card is reflecting in the portal and made it the default payment card?
Reference: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cost-management-billing/manage/change-credit-card

If yes, and still facing issues with payments, highly recommend contacting Azure billing and subscription management team by raising a support request to look into this issue. The ticket enables you to work closely with the support engineers and get a quick resolution to your issue.

Here is the link - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-portal/supportability/how-to-create-azure-support-request to create support case.

FYI: Azure Billing and Subscription Management support is included in the Basic Support Plan without any charge.

@SadiqhAhmed-MSFT We have the same problem!

I checked with my financial institution, and they told me, that the 0€ payment Microsoft is doing to proof the credit card is lower than the actual monthly payment that need to be done. Because of this the payment is declined by the financial institution. This is standard procedure for the Mastercard 3-D Secure.
