Hi,

I am wondering how much disk space is allocated to the second stage recycle bin if you haven't set a quota for the webapp.

According to this article
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/configure-sharepoint-recycle-bin-settings-427bf749-cfb4-4b5a-80aa-3bd2b24ef4f0
It seems that one must set a quota on the web app. But what if you dont?
How much space is then allocated to the second stage recycle bin and if the answer is unlimited, when does it clean up the second stage recycle bin?

    Hi @Daniel M ,

1.If the site collection in the web application has no quota set, then the disk space of the second stage recycle bin will not be limited. Because if the site quota is not set, the space occupied by the second-stage recycle bin will not be controlled.

2.Items remain in the second-stage Recycle Bin until a specified time period has been reached (the default setting is 30 days) or until the second-stage Recycle Bin reaches its size limit, at which time the oldest items are deleted.
