Sync parameters between multiple computers

Question

Hi,
So I have multiple computers (one for the office, one for home and a laptop ). I have one windows account.
Today, when I sync up my laptop, the desktop shortcuts and files from work appeared on my lap top desktop.
Is there any way to make those 2 independant? I would like to keep the drive and all synched, but the desktop layout different (at work I have 2 monitors and now they are all crammed up in one small lap top screen...)
