Install BCD to USB drive

I have a system with a non-bootable raid card (HP-P410 FW 3.66). I would like to install windows the the array, though obviously I can't boot from it then. I was wondering if I could install the BCD to a USB drive that is permanently attached. I assume that the BCD is rarely written to and fairly small so the drive should have few issues with reliability and throughput and I can just reimage a new drive if it did fail.

How would I go about creating a fresh install of Windows 10 Home (or Pro) on a drive while installing the BCD on another USB or SATA drive (possibly CD/DVD). Thank you.

    Thank you for your question and reaching out. I can understand you are having query related to Installing Windows using BCD.

    Please note , you can go with this approach if you do not have Production Server or its Development environment as keeping USB attached to the System is highly un reliable and cause booting error.
