Hi,

Currently we have IIS webserver running on windows 2008 R2. As the support is ended for current version of windows we need to move the IIS to higher version of windows which we have windows server 2019, windows server 2016, or windows server 2012R2.

I need to know if IIS 7 is compatible with the windows server 2019, windows server 2016, or windows server 2012R2.

We have couple of options.
If iis 7.0 is compatible with above versions then the services can be transitioned to new servers of higher windows versions.
If not upgrade of IIS or new install of IIS on higher versions of windows.

What should be the possible and simplest way.

Please suggest.

Thanks
Neelima

IIS is no problem, only some functions in iis will have compatibility problems, I suggest you try to migrate. If you get any problems, welcome to discuss. and the following link should help you:
