IE Mode Add-ons

I am migrating myself to Edge, using IE mode where necessary. I use the Acrobat addon in IE to view PDFs in the browser without having to open them in an instance of Acrobat. My IE Mode pages in Edge follow the same rules as they do in IE with my Adobe add-on, but the Edge pages still follow the default Edge rules. Will I be able to manage the IE Acrobat add-on when IE is retired so that I can adjust these settings in the future as needed? It seems to me that the only way to manage that now is to open IE > Tools > Manage add-ons... > and disable/enable the addon. But when IE is gone, how will I be able to manage this addon? Or will I even be able to? Will the add-on go away as well?

    Hi @CalebHargett-9708 ,

But when IE is gone, how will I be able to manage this addon? Or will I even be able to? Will the add-on go away as well?

As far as I know, even if IE is gone, the add-ons will still keep, you can use them in Edge IE mode.

But there is no visual interface for managing IE add-ons, so it may be necessary to manage their status through relevant group policies. For more details, please refer to this doc: Using the CLSID and Administrative Templates to manage group policy objects.

In addition, you can send your suggestions to relevant team on this issue, just press Shift + Alt + I to edit the suggestions and send it. This will also help improve Edge.
