SharePoint 2019 Data Encryption & Security Support

Question

Hi,
I have On-Premises SharePoint 2019 and Project Server 2019 and want to encrypt data on SharePoint and on Project Server.

Pls guide what are the available options for data encryption.

You have a few options.

1) You can use TDE on the SQL databases if you're running SQL Server Enterprise.
2) You can use BitLocker on the SQL database volumes.
3) You can use IRM, such as Active Directory RMS or Azure RMS to encrypt at the Document Library level.

Enable TDE on the SQL databases which are running with SQL Server 2019 is available now with SQL Server Standard edition itself, earlier its part of Enterprise edition only.
