I am the new developer for my company and we currently have a live Web app through Azure web services. The app was created by a former employee who never gave access to anyone else and we no longer have access to the account web portal for me to grant myself access so I can update the site and fix any bugs.

  • Sidenote I have tried multiple times to gain access by contacting the former employee but never heard back.

I can provide our business information, payment information, etc needed to verify my identity for the account.
At the moment, my company continues to pay the subscription and we still use the site regularly but we have no way of accessing the account's backend. I'd rather enhance what we have already rather than canceling a subscription and rebuilding out another app so I wanted to see if there is any possible way of gaining access to the web apps backend if I verified my company's identity.

Have a look at Troubleshoot Azure subscription sign-in issues. There's a link towards the bottom of the page to create a support request may help. There is a customer service number that will be of help if you aren't able to create one via the online.

    EDIT 2022 May 23:

Per our offline discussion, we discovered the account was created using a personal account. Even though your business is paying for the service, the account is still under their ownership. We did discuss creating a billing support request; however, you decided to start over after discovering various obstacles.
