  3. when we build brand new pc , with windows 11 operating system (without ie and will edge installed) and if we install our legacy application, which has web browser control, will this still work?

Please provide an direct answer.

Note:

we tested the application by uninstalling IE (since the ActiveX components still exists) , our application is working without any issues.
we do not know after June 15th this ActiveX components still be there or not.

Many Thanks in advance.

@Ramesh Durairajan , Welcome to Microsoft Q&A,Although the Internet Explorer 11 desktop application will go out of support and be retired on June 15, 2022, it will still not affect the use of IE Mode.

Therefore, the answer to the three questions you asked is all ok.

I think XuDongPeng-MSFT's answer is vey good, which answers it very carefulnessly and you can look at the following link:

Regarding End of Support for Microsoft Web Browser Control ActiveX

Also, Please refer to retirement FAQ to know more about details, such as win11 could use IE mode to use Active controls, IE mode will continue to be supported through at least 2029.

Hope my description could be helpful.

    Best Regards,
    Jack
