Hello Teams Community,

Please i need your help on this.

We have on the prem mail server. Is it possible that MS is hosting additional mail server?

I am worried that double mail servers can cause some problem with message traffic.

Hi @IBN ,

If you only deploy one prem mail server, then only that server will have the message traffic.
Basic on my knowledge, MS wouldn't host another mail server.

The following diagram shows the relationships among the components in the Exchange transport pipeline.

What problem are you trying to solve? Why not create an array of 2 on-prem servers if continuity is a worry, or migrate to Exchange Online if you don't want to worry
about that any further (provided dependencies, integrations etc). In theory, if you must, you can host a virtualized Exchange server in Azure which might not be cost-efficient due to requirements for virtualized Exchange servers hosting mailboxes in Azure.
