Adding holidays to Outlook (Microsoft365)

I want to add a secondary holiday calendar to my Outlook calendar, as I have to work closely with people of another origin. I have my UK holidays installed by default and I want to install the Hong Kong holidays.

On Outlook, I went to Options > Calendar, then I clicked "Add Holidays...". A dialog "Add Holidays to Calendar" appeared. I saw that I have my UK holidays checked. I then checked the checkbox for Hong Kong holidays. Outlook started to download and import the data. After importing, I clicked OK to close the dialogs.

I couldn't see the new calendar on my Outlook, so I went back to Options > Calendar and I clicked "Add Holidays...". I saw that the checkbox for Hong Kong holidays was unchecked. When I tried to check that checkbox again and clicked "OK", a prompt popped up saying, "Holidays for Hong Kong S.A.R. are already installed. Do you want to install them again?"

I searched on the web and researched a bit. People said that this prompt appearing is due to calendar being outdated.... what? but, I have just installed/imported the calendar a few minutes ago, what are the chances that it got outdated so quickly? I also saw on the web that if I click "Yes" for this prompt, the holidays would probably be duplicated and messed up the calendar.... This doesn't look good to me, so I clicked "No". Then another prompt appeared, "Holidays for United Kingdom are already installed. Do you want to install them again?" I was surprised to see that after importing one calendar, another calendar also became outdated. I clicked "No" again and the dialog closed. With the dialog closed, I couldn't check the checkbox for Hong Kong holidays calendar.

Have I done something wrong in the process or is this a bug in the software?

    Hi @SC ,

    Welcome to our forum!

Based on my test in Outlook 365, i found that the added Hong Kong holiday calendar are not displayed in the calendar view as a separate calendar, but is imported into "My Calendar". To see the holidays more intuitively, please follow the following steps:

    1. View>Change View>Click List.
    2. Click "Categories" in the List view to see all holidays.

    3. If you still don't see or find Hong Kong, please click "Location".

    Hope the above help!
