Hi Team,
We have tried Webdav implementation in our IIS to Open the document in Desktop app via Office Online editor, but we have faced some of the issues which we have mentioned below.
- When opening a document for editing online, some changes were made in that document, and then on clicking "Open in Desktop", the document is opened in Word application. But the changes we have done in the browser is not visible in the Word application. So, is there a way to see the changes in Desktop Word app that we have edited online?
- After Word app is opened, some changes were done and on Saving it we were asked to sign in. But Sign in button still remain in the Word app even after clicking it multiple times.
- As the sign in button still remain, we tried to do "Save as" operation. The Desktop word app was asking for Webdav server credentials. After entering them, it is asking us to replace the file in the webdav server path. We were unable to save file directly.
- Then we tried replacing the file and closed the desktop Word app. Now when I open the same document in the browser as edit/readonly, the changes done in desktop app were not visible in browser. (However when we click "Open in Desktop" again, the changes are visible in Desktop word app).
- How to push changes from wopi online to webdav server and vice versa.
- We have created webdav server using IIS (https://appletllc.wordpress.com/windows-10-iis-webdav-settings/). Is there any possible implementation for communicating Web dav server with WOPI via IIS?
Please share your ideas. Thanks.
