currently using two separate application gateways (WAF v2) for deva & QA resource groups. We would like to use one gateway for both resource groups to save cost. Both the resource groups are part of same subscription and same site.

Hello @KrisVanDaele-9641

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform,

Application Gateway is a multisite product so you can add manage the sites in a single gateway.
This will require to replicate the settings (frontends, backends, routing rules, etc...) from the gateway that will be deleted to the one that will remain active.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/application-gateway/multiple-site-overview
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/application-gateway/create-multiple-sites-portal

I hope this helps!

Thank you for the answer Luis.

We have currently implemented the deployment activities through the terraform scripts and the common script is using to create resources in all the environments including Production. So, can we achieve combining the application gateway by modifying the terraform scripts? Do we need to be careful on anything during the terraform modification?
