How can I keep the Bridge setting after a restart in Windows 10?

I try to share my WiFi Internet connection to provide a second computer.
To do this I activated "sharing" in the WiFi adapter.
Then I activated "Bridged Connections" in both the WiFi adapter and the Ethernet adapter.
This worked fine, I had Internet on my second computer, until ... I powered up the computer the next day.
The "charring" setting is still there, but the Bridge setting is lost.

I posted this before and got an answer from Lynn Sun, Microsoft Community Support Specialist:

** Hi P. van Wijk,
Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

It sounds like the bridge connection on your Windows gets lost after restarting. Sorry for the inconvenience you are facing.
To regain the bridge connection, you can try the methods below and see if they help.

  1. Switch the network to a mobile hotspot or another broadband connection.

  2. Press Windows + R -- type: inetcpl.cpl -- press Enter to open Internet options -- Advanced -- find the security module -- check Use SSL 3.0, TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1, TLS 1.2 -- OK.

  3. Reset the network:
Right-click the Start menu - click "Windows PowerShell (Administrator)", type commands below and hit Enter key after each of them:
    netsh winsock reset
    netsh int ip reset
    ipconfig /release
    ipconfig /renew
    ipconfig /flushdns
    ipconfig /registerdns

Restart the device directly after running
If the problem persists, it is advised to post your share on our Microsoft IT Forum. This community caters to IT professionals who can provide advanced troubleshooting steps for your concern. And you can click on Ask a Question to start.

I followed the advise from Lynn Sun, but the problem was not solved. Is there anyone that has an idea how the Bridge settings can be maintained after a restart of Windows 10?

    Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out. I can understand you are having issues related to Bridge connection lost after reboot of computer.

I believe Wi-Fi cannot be bridged to Ethernet. This is not a Windows limitation in any way.

Instead, you should use Internet Connection Sharing (ie. make your PC a router):

Go to the Network Connections control panel (where you’re currently trying to create the bridge)
    Open your Wi-Fi connection’s properties.
    Switch to the “Sharing” tab
Enable it, selecting your Ethernet connection as the “Home networking connection”.

    Hello LimitlessTechnology-0326,
    Thank you for your answer.

Wi-Fi can be bridged to Ethernet, it works after setting it up.
ICS must always be set on.
My problem is that this setting is lost after a reboot of the computer.

I am a little bit further in the problem myself.
The problem occurs on the following two computers I used
    * HP EliteDesk G2
    * Minix NEO Z83-4 V2

And then I tried the same on several old and very old desktop computers.
These computers remember the setting without any problem.

So it looks like there is a relation with the hardware.
But this networking is on link layer level; that's no hardware.

So I wonder does anyone have an idea what is going on and what to be done.
This function needs to run on a reliable mini computer fit for continuous use.
