Today downloaded the file en_sql_server_2014_standard_edition_with_service_pack_3_x64_dvd_0a7a58cb.iso from MSDN platforms subscription download section, but the published checksum does not match the SHA256 checksum of the download. Please advise which is correct checksum or download?
Published value is SHA256: 506382ADF85F649419CBF90CBDBC562987C06CCE1E5BF2F311F5D73A19EAF405
Actual value is SHA256: 65DCA338991BF2220DE3E3CB90AFAE6AE3FA6010564BE6F077C855A71863D125
I always wondered why so many posts ended up in the wrong forums and had to be moved until today. I tried to post this at the download, then at the service pack download, but kept getting forced to this location by the website.

you need to make sure the release your checking is not an updated refresh iso with
security updates combined that replaced the original iso, it also has to
be the exact same name of the iso, usually also the same exact distribution channel where you got the iso.
if any number of these things are not 100 percent followed , then you cant guarentee a matching checksum.
ill give you a good example,
right now there's multiple windows 11 ltsc iso versions,
one is the oem enterprise iot ltsc , the other is the newly released iso, which is the same however it was re released also in the business visual studio licensing subscription and
therefore has a different name scheme on the iso.
the final is the newly released enterprise ltsc, non iot version ,
all of these iso are simillar, but various reasons have meant they all have different iso checksums, even when there are two identical iso versions , but released in different release channels.

No thank you. Suggesting your company takes it as a report of potential data corruption for customer facing site and deal with it as you see fit. My involvement is somewhat academic, I am going to use this in test and escalate as necessary as I get near production deployment.
Do appreciate the answer at least. I was able to find some additional mechanism to report an incident via MSDN if I do encounter a show stopper of a technical issue, so that is helpful.
Downloaded same described product from the Business Center, and found that the SW_DVD9_SQL_SVR_STANDARD_EDTN_2014W_SP3_64BIT_ENGLISH_MVLS_MLF_X21-70221.ISO file is same exact size and checksum as the MSDN download. However, I don't ever remember being able to find checksums for enterprise software available from the business center.
