I have Microsoft365, Office 2021, 64xbit.
I placed file (MASTER09.xlsm), folder (Metadata15) and folder (MS15XLS.DLL) on my OneDrive account. Metadata15 and MS15XLS.DLL must be on your C drive in to run MASTER09.xlsm.
MASTER09 runs up to 16 stock symbols and generates a spreadsheet for each symbol. After I have run the program, I select “Save” and the file closes. About 6 seconds later, Excel Book1 opens. How do I stop Excel from opening? Bill Roberts
ps I'm not sure how to share my files with anyone. I just put them on my OneDrive.

    Hi, @billroberts
Does this happen to all Excel files? Is there a pop-up prompt when Excel Book1 is opened?
You can also try saving the file locally instead of in OneDrive. Usually, you can try to repair Office in Control Panel first.

I loaded MASTER09 in safe mode, ran 4 symbols, and Excel Book1 still opens a few seconds after I close MASTER09.xlsm
I went through the modify/online repair/reload process for Microsoft365, and Excel Book1 still opens after I close MASTER09.

The file MASTER09 runs 10 macros, managed by the master/macro. I have written all the code, so I am familiar with it.
Aplication.OnTime is never used in any macro.
I don't know if you can run the macro from OneDrive, but if not, if you will comunicate directly to me , I will send you the folders (metastock15 and MS15XLS.dll) and a copy of file MASTER09, then you may run the file on your computer. I know the issue occurs on at least one other computer. Bill Roberts

That was a waste of time. I followed your instructions through your recommended web site. and I finally requested the microsft empoyee to take over my computer to demo the problem. He texted that he would have to transfer me to another microsoft team for remote access. I waited 25 minutes, with no reponse. Then I shut down. I would appreciate referral to any microsft team that can remotely access my computer so I can show them the problem.
