I want to transfer my local Users & Groups from Windows Server 2008 R2 to Windows Server 2019 Standard Edition with Password.

I have already tried the below link but unfortunately, users' passwords are not being copied. :-(
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/55102/migrate-local-groups-from-2008-to-2019-server.html

Please guide if there is any utility of third-party software that can import & export Users and groups to server 2019 with user passwords.

Thanks

Syed Ali Raza

Exporting user passwords would not be possible to do. The imported users will need to change their passwords.

    Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out. I can understand you are having issues related to transfer my local Users & Groups from Windows Server 2008 R2 to Windows Server 2019.

Please note that as Windows 2008 is out of support and also There isn't a "supported" method to do what you're asking for without involving Active Directory (AD). You could promote the current Windows Server 2008 computer to a Domain Controller (DC), which would "promote" all the local accounts to domain accounts.

However you can try Import and Export method as described in below article guide.
