Outlook app crashed after installed on Mac

Question

I downloaded outlook app for Mac and installed, when open the app, it said "Something's wrong with the Outlook database. Please repair to fix the problem. depending on your system configuration and database size, the repair process might take some time." click Repair, won't work. has to click "quit". Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

What's the version of your Outlook for Mac(Outlook>About Outlook)? Do you have the latest updates installed on the computer?
Click Help> Check for updates and check if the problem gets resolved.

Besides, it is recommended you try creating a new profile, which will create a new database and re-download your email from the server. You can rename your old profile or set the new profile to be your default then re-add your account. See: Manage profiles or identities in Outlook for Mac
