How to get Bitlocker recovery key using numerical password id?

Hi,
I have a serious problem on my laptop. Somehow managed to get my drive C locked with Bitlocker under following circumstances:

C Drive is locked, unaccessible. Can't start windows, only command prompt reachable.
When I type manage-bde -protectors -get c: , in return I get the numerical password ID and TPM ID. In order to unlock C, I do need the numerical password though, which is nowhere to be found.
The bitlocker recovery key is NOT stored in my Microsoft account and it is not stored in Active Directory either.
Is there any way to reach the bitlocker recovery key but using the numerical password ID or TPM ID?

Any help is appreciated.

I am having the same issues as above.

There are no stored bitlocker keys in the microsoft account device page

the cmd prompt action only returns the drive id number and NO numerical password just like the screenshot above

I never enabled bitlocker, was using the laptop in the morning, closed the lid, plugged it in to charge, opened it later in the day and was greeted by the bitlocker screen asking for the recovery key.

I've tried disabling secure boot in the bios - didnt work

tried loading hp defaults in the bios etc - didnt work

Bitlocker is asking for a recovery key that apparently was never created/doesn't exist. typical microsoft...

Only option is to reinstall windows? Tried doing the reset the pc with deleting all files but it says it encounters an error when I click that option.

@UserNotFnd Old thread, but wanted to mention this has ZERO to do with "typical microsoft." This is the fault of whoever setup your system. There really are only a few options:

During setup, you or someone (whoever did the setup) allowed BL to get enabled, and stored the Key into a thumb drive or network location.

Similar to #1 above - but BL keys got stored in BIOS - I think I've seen this as a possibility.

If it's joined to a domain, the BL keys can get stored in AD (a domain admin can view them)

You didn't give a lot of context, so it's hard to tell.
Note also, just because BL got 'enabled,' doesn't mean it got 'activated.' After BL is enabled, if it hasn't yet 'stored the key,' then you can grab a thumb drive, go into the BL UI and it will show something like 'awaiting activation;' which means, it just needs to finish storing your keys on an external media: usually a thumb drive or network drive; it will not store them on the drive being encrypted. Once it does that, then it's fully recoverable - I ran into this issue - BL finished encrypting a drive, and gave no errors. When I later came back, I found it in that 'odd' state, and then I stored the BL keys in AD, and it was happy and recoverable.

Also, BL keys do not necessarily have anything to do with "SecureBoot." They can, but they don't always. For example, if you enable and use TPM; that typically involves SecureBoot. And, as stated, I think, but can't swear that, in addition to TPM keys, there are some BIOS extensions that do allow storing BL keys in BIOS - ? Wonder if anyone can confirm that - I haven't yet Googled it.

As you've numerical password ID, you can use this command to unlock the drive:

manage-bde.exe -unlock {Drive-Letter}: -rp {Numerical-Recovery-Password}

Thank you for your reply. I typed in exactly as you said and got:
ERROR: The password failed to unlock volume C:

I have to remind you, what I have is the password ID, not the password itself. In your command, what you mention is Numerical-Recovery-Password .
Is there any way to get the Password with the help of the Password ID?

That ID is just the "name" of the recovery password, not the password itself.
Since BL does not get activated without rec password backup, it will be saved to a different Microsoft account, probably not the one that you expect.
So please think hard what other MS accounts have been used with that machine.

I checked all my Microsoft account, bitlocker recovery key nowhere to be found.
I reformatted the drive to the backup I made 9 days ago.
