How can I reset MFA for an azure global administrator when I am unable to login to the portal?

I am unable to restore the MFA accounts on my phone and I need to login with the global administrator account to reset the MFA settings for a user account. When attempting to login with the global admin account I get prompted for the MFA code. There are no other authentication methods available.

I am unable to raise a support request with Microsoft as I am unable to login to the portal (this is a non production level Azure subscription).

I have the same issue about MFA reset for users. Though I have an access for global administrator but there is no option to reset the users MFA. I tried disable the user MFA so they can login without prompt of MFA code until I delete the configured MFA to their accounts but still not work. Maybe there is a solution for this issue from the masters that willing to share. Thanks

If there are another Global Admin(s) in the subscription, they can try to reset the MFA. If it is not the case, you need to contact Microsoft support through phone support as the azure portal is not available at the moment for your account. Hello,

    I have a similar problem.

The password for my admin account for the Azure portal is correct, unfortunately I no longer have access to my MFA in the Microsoft app after replacing my cell phone. There is also no second admin account. But I still have access to an MS Server 2022 that works as an AD server. I tried to reset the MFA process via Powershell. Unfortunately, I still need access to the MFA app here too.

I have access to the alternative email address, but that doesn't help me reset the MFA.

How can I reset and re-request the MFA for my account?

    Thanks
