How can I access NPM logs from app service

Hello,

I have a react app service crashing on start. This is the error:

I've tried to access the webssh to get the logs but everytime I try, it says ssh connection close. I also tried to restart the app service but with the same result.

Is there another way to get access to these logs?

@Roger Thanks for reaching out Looking at the above shared error message i have understood that the app is failing because it cannot find "react-scripts".

Could you please confirm how are you trying to open SSH session in browser using the following url https://<app-name>.scm.azurewebsites.net/webssh/host ? or are your using the SSH feature under the Development Tools?

Are you deploying the app using either continuous deployment (through deployment center) or directly from the visual studio to azure web app ?

You can Refer to this document: Open an SSH session to a Linux container in Azure App Service and try performing SSH to the web app using any of the methods mentioned in the above documentation.

Also, to add further the most common cause of an inability to SSH into a custom container is either the Web App isn't running, or the Kudu container isn't running. Therefore, if you are unable to SSH into your app container, you should check. Ensure that the Web App & Kudu Site is currently running.

in Windows-based Azure App service logs may be accessed via FTP - you may get FTP credentials from App service > Deployment center and connect to it e.g. via WinSCP tool (/data or /LogFiles folders in the root). Probably similar option is also available for Linux-based App services
