I would like to develop an Office Add-In for Visio that will validate some Shape property values by querying a SQL Server database. I'd sure prefer to use the new JavaScript API architecture rather than building a VSTO solution. However currently the JavaScript API support for Visio is limited to Visio drawings that exist within classic SharePoint. Will support for Visio improve to the same level to that of Excel or Word?
