This is totally normal, on secondary replica you would only see secondary mentioned on the server instance holding secondary replica. Secondary replica is in receiving mode and does not have information about which primary replica is so it does not mentioned primary replica and you see a question mark. On primary replica you will see all the information
Availability Replica - Server with question status and Role Unknown
Hi,
after executing the manual faiolver procedure that was configured as asynchronous, we return to the initial scenario.
We return with the bases paused, wait for the synchronization and perform the failover manually again to the servers that were initially configured.
However, we noticed that the server icon in (Availability Replicas) that showed with circular arrows, now shows as blue interrogation.
In a Google search they say that this is normal by design, because of the status on the secondary server not getting information from the primary. Question mark icon.
Is that so?
Another situation we observed is that on the secondary server it only shows the status of the secondary, it does not show the same as the primary.
Is that so?
Another situation we observed is that when we enable asynchronous the database shows as (Synchronizing) and not (Synchronized) the same in the synchronous method when configured.
Is that so?
Thank you.
