Teams App Message Extension not working in Chat Context

Question

Hi,

We are seeing "Something went wrong. Please try again." when opening message extension in the new chat window context by selecting the user which you have not interacted previously. This works fine in all other scenarios and it was working previously as well in new chat window context but something recently have changed which is causing this issue.

This is happening with our local developer apps as well as with the app published in the App Source. Our server logs or the local ngrok logs does not show any receipt of the request when we see the error with Message extension.

Any help on this is highly appreciated.

We tried to repro the issue, but its working perfectly fine at our end. We tried by opening message extension in the new chat window context by selecting the user which we have not interacted previously. But it didn't impact anything.

I'm experiencing the same behavior for my custom "Messaging Extension": attempt to launch it in a blank "one to one chat" failed.

Call to https://amer.ng.msg.teams.microsoft.com/v1/agents/{ID_here}/invoke returns 502 {"errorCode":0,"message":"something went wrong in ProcessInvoke"}
