Hi Team,

We are currently using azure media service(V2 API) for content protection in our organisation. We have in-house encryption and key service. And uses third-party services such as AWS S3 for storage and a couple of streaming services.

It works pretty well, but since V2 API will be eventually deprecated in the next year. We are doing some POC to migrate to Azure V3 API. Keeping backward compatibility for our existing assets.

We can't migrate our assets from S3 to azure.

our current implementation looks similar to what have illustrated here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/media-services/previous/media-services-deliver-keys-and-licenses

Thanks

    Hello,
    There is a v2 to v3 migration guide here : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/media-services/latest/migrate-v-2-v-3-migration-introduction
From what I understand, you are using AMS v2 only for key/license delivery, not for packaging/streaming, right ?
This scenario is not recommended with AMS v3. I think the main reason is because content protection in v3 relies the streaming locator object (related to an asset). In your case, you don't have AMS assets....
