Teams recording and transcription

Hello

Customer has a strange problem with their Teams meetings. When someone chooses to record a meeting and press the record button the transcription feature also kicks in at the same time.

We don’t want teams recording and transcription to start at the same time.

How do we go about it?

When someone chooses to record a meeting and press the record button the transcription feature also kicks in at the same time.

It seems your transcription has been enabled by default. If so, when you press the record button, it will also start the transcription at the same time. I did a test and we also have the same phenomenon.

If you don't want to start the transcription, you could close it by press this button to stop it.

Besides, you could also contact with your Teams admin to disable the transcription when start recording via Teams meeting policy. For more details about its operation, you could refer to:
