Public channels don't have a membership per se, everyone that's a member of the parent Team is a member of any public channels therein. Emails sent to the channel address are never delivered in Outlook, so no "member" of the channel will receive them - they are only visible within the channel itself. And for that reason, each channel will have a different address, even those within the same parent Team.
On the other hand, email messages sent to the Group/Team email address might be delivered in member's Inbox, depending on each member's "subscription" status: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/follow-a-group-in-outlook-e147fc19-f548-4cd2-834f-80c6235b7c36#ID0EBBF=Web
Teams - need to get list of only CHANNEL members for public channel

For a channel, there's a "get email address" link - but no way to see who's in the channel. Is that email address actually for the whole Team? If so, why is it in the channel context menu? Have to say, Teams causes much user confusion because of its haphazard implementation.....
