New Azure Account Locked out

Question

Hi. I recently created my free azure account for practice and training and right away it locked my account. My 0365 account is fine but whenever i try to access my free portal, it takes mt to sign in page where it says locked out. I can reach azure support as it requires me to first sign in. Please assist.

Have you tried to use different sing-in options?

Yes ive tried that with password and authenticator app but the issue not that im not able to sign in but that my account keeps getting locked out. So no matter how i log in, the account i locked.

Just to be clear, I am logged into my O365 account and have full access, the account lock only comes up when i try to access the Azure Portal. The account recovery form is available in case 2 step verification is not turned on which in my case it is.
