Hi

I have tried all the solutions provided in USB Device not recognised and still get the error. I had windows 10 and my device a Nano S was working fine. When I upgraded to Windows 11, it throws up error, USB Malfunctioned and shows the error 43 in USB hub ... device descriptor not found.
I see that the winubs.sys file was updated when the windows 11 update was done and under driver details this error is thrown
Device settings for USB\VID_0000&PID_0002\5&25a79b27&0&8 were not migrated from previous OS installation due to partial or ambiguous device match.

Is there any way to solve this? The vendor - Ledger has said there is no update and it has all the latest updates. The Nano X works, but not S

Does it work on other device running the Windows 10?

    Hi CryptD-9245,

I'm not sure from your post what you have already tried as solutions. Does the device work on a different PC? Can I suggest that you remove the device driver completely and then reinstall fresh. Here's the recommendations from the Ledger website:

If your Windows computer doesn't recognize your Ledger device during the firmware update, follow the steps below to fix this issue:

Open Devices and Printers from Control Panel.
    Double-click Nano S / X / S Plus and open the Hardware tab.
Select USB Input Device and click Properties.
    Click Change Settings.
    Click the Driver tab.
Click Update driver and select automatic driver selection.
Repeat this for both USB Input Devices.

It's also worth temporarily disabling antivirus and VPN software.

I hope this answers your question.
