Synapse | Inconsistent Query Perfoemance

My SQL query on Synapse is not returning results for every run. Most of the time, the query execution starts and gets stuck with no error or results. The same query is executed for all the cases.
Can someone please help me understand how I can fix this issue?

Is your query related to Dedicated SQL pool or Serverless SQL pool?

Also, could you please clarify/elaborate a bit on this statement - The same query is executed for all the cases. ?
