Hello

Please i need help on this issue.

We currently have MS 365 Apps for business as well as active Microsoft Teams Exploratory which is due to expire next month.

I am trying to find out what happens to Teams access when the exploratory license expires if we don't upgrade to a license that includes Teams?

Will the users no longer be able to access their Teams accounts or will they automatically be moved on to the Teams Free accounts and won't notice a change?

I have tested this by removing Teams Exploratory from my account - I can still login to the Teams application. Is this correct?

What are the main differences in the Teams access between the exploratory and the Teams free?

    Hi @IBN

I am trying to find out what happens to Teams access when the exploratory license expires if we don't upgrade to a license that includes Teams?

If the Teams Exploratory license ends and a user isn't immediately upgraded to a subscription that includes Teams, they lose access to Teams after a 30-days grace period. Another 30 days after which, the data is deleted. The user still exists in Azure Active Directory. Once a new license is assigned to the user to enable Teams functionality again, all content will still exist if the user is added within the grace period time frame.

I have tested this by removing Teams Exploratory from my account - I can still login to the Teams application. Is this correct?
What are the main differences in the Teams access between the exploratory and the Teams free?

Yes, it is correct. Teams Exploratory will not affect user to login Teams for free normally. Microsoft Teams Exploratory is an experience offered by Microsoft allowing users to explore Microsoft Teams and experience the functionality of Office 365 E3 without actually paying for a license.
