Hello,

I'm trying to setup migration from our Sharepoint 2016 on-prem site to our Sharepoint Online environment.

I have Site Collection Administrator on both on-prem and the online environment.

After installing SPMT I tried setting up a migration on a smaller site just to test.

When starting the migration, I get the following error:

Invalid site URL 'http: //<local sharepoint site url>' (ErrorCode: 0x0201000F) OriginalMessage: Web Issue when doing SP Query The underlying connection An unexpected error occurred while receiving. Unable to read data from transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly shut down by the external host. An existing connection was forcibly shut down by the external host

The only relevant information I can find regarding the error code is that the URL might not be available and I should try it in a browser. I can confirm that I can access the site from my computer so I'm not sure what the issue can be. Could it be a firewall issue stopping requests from my local computer to the server when trying to run the migration?

    Hi @Tarald Johansen ,
This error usually means the connection to the machine (remote host/server/PC that the service runs at) was made but since the service was not available on that machine, the machine didn't know what to do with the request.
You can refer to the following document about the issue Unable to read data from transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly shut down by the external host. An existing connection was forcibly shut down by the external host
