Hi
I got a trouble with LPT printer on WIN11 22H2 preview version that shows a communication error. but it works well on WIN11 21H2 RTM version. I downloaded the BurnInTest(v10) and tested parallel port loopback test.it also failed .by the way I do have the loopback plug :). That failed description is “Error loading parallel port device driver” and the parallel port address is 00, not 378.
my hardware is 12th CPU i3-12100. the parallel port is enabled by super io. the chipset & serial io driver has been updated with Intel BKC Software Package. There's no yellow bang in device manager.
is that a bug on the WIN11 preview version? cause 21H2 RTM didn't have this issue.

I believe this might be a bug or compatibility issue with your device.
I advise you to open start and search for feedback and open the Feedback Hub app and report this issue and share steps to reproduce the problem and the model of your device and other useful information.

    Hi there,

Most probably this might be a bug as you are facing the issue only on specific build. Meanwhile check if you have Enabled Plug and Play detection for parallel port devices https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/windows-server/deployment/enable-plug-play-for-parallel-port-devices

The below thread discusses the same issue and you can try out some troubleshooting steps from this and see if that helps you to sort the Issue. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/i-am-getting-the-parallel-port-driver-service/8714edb5-8da9-4697-b1f1-cbf47c85803d

Having the same issue. Update killed the use of a parallel port printer on multiple machines which my business relies on. Re-installing printer did not help. Manually adding LPT1 port did not help. affected windows 10 also.
