Cannot add Azure VM to update management

I'm trying to add an existing Azure VM to update management of an automation account.
When I do this from the Azure VM, nothing happens and there is no error message (Keeps showing loading). What can I do to include this VM in Update management?

I was not able to reproduce this issue with multiple Azure Automation accounts and Log Analytics workspaces in various locations so can you tell what's the location of your Azure Automation account and Log Analytics workspace? The question is because only certain regions are supported to link the Log Analytics workspace with an Automation account. For more information w.r.t it, you may refer this Azure document.

Log Analytics Workspace = West Europe
Automation acount = West Europe
Azure VM = West Europe
All are connected to te same subscriptionI noticed the following warning when I add the Azure VM to the Update Management from within the Automation account.
