Windows Search indexing

Ok, so I'm sure there are hundreds of Search Indexing questions, but is there any proven solution that works? I have tried rebuilding, manually restarting the service. disabling and deleting the file and enabling the service. Forcing in group policy to NOT pause the service so it is always indexing, DISM, SFC scans... Nothing works. I am down to just trying to get it to index OUTLOOK only, 160,000 items, and at this rate it will take about 5.8 years to finish.

Aside from what I have tried is there anything else short of reinstalling windows? I mean there must be a manual script somewhere that will shutdown all services and exe's. Delete all applications, services and directories for search indexing, and re-installs working files and reinitializes a rebuild, right?

Slight correction on my math as of today it looks like search will finish indexing OUTLOOK in 146 years, only a slight increase of 5.8.

Deleted C:\Windows\system32\SearchIndexer.exe and C:\Windows\system32\MSSRCH.DLL, ran SFC /scannow to get them replaced and same result, about 1 item indexed every 7-10 hours. System spec below. Search indexer takes about 8-10% CPU constantly, won't increase past that.

Open administrative command prompt and copy and paste:

    msdt.exe -id SearchDiagnostic
    net user test /add

Click: view detailed information > post images or share links

Reboot > logon on with the new user named test > test search and indexing > report findings

    Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out. I can understand you are having issues related to Outlook Indexing slow.

Possible Causes: Outlook client was recently reset, Outlook client upgraded, or computer upgraded.

    1. Your computer will need time to perform a full-text index of your email. If you have quite a bit of email, it may take 24 hours before indexing is complete. In Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2013, follow these steps to verify that indexing is complete:

In Outlook, click in the Search box.
Click the Search tab, click Search Tools, and then click Indexing Status.
When the Indexing Status dialog appears, you should see the following:
Outlook has finished indexing all of your items.
0 items remaining to be indexed.

    1. The full text index is corrupt and must be rebuilt. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/fix-search-issues-by-rebuilding-your-instant-search-catalog-213a2728-0ef4-427a-9bb2-aed329a59b17
    2. Please try to create new Outlook profile.
