Script error when loading microsoft login page

Hi there,

when I open the Microsoft login page (login.microsoftonline.com) the icons and background images can't be loaded. When trying it in Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer, the images simply can't be loaded. When trying it from an application (in my case the CMG connection analyzer in SCCM) it throws the following error message:

Script Error
An error has occurred in the script on this page.
Line: 51
Char: 457
Error: Failed to load external resource

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?

We are working behind a proxy. The interesting thing about it is, that if I try the same thing with a different user on the same machine it works just as expected and the images are loaded correctly.

The URL https://*.msauthimages.net has been added to the trusted sites.

Does anyone have an idea where I can start troubleshooting?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi @Dominik Betz

Do you have the same error on other pages?
    Also, according to this document:

If the script error doesn't occur when you view the webpage through another user account, in another browser, or on another computer, the problem may be caused by files or settings on your computer.

Since there's no such script error under another user account, I suggest you try the following steps:

    1. Verify that Active Scripting, ActiveX, and Java are not being blocked by Internet Explorer:
Internet Options --> Security --> Default Level --> OK
    2. Remove all temporary Internet files:
Internet Options --> General --> Browsing History --> Delete
    3. Install the latest software updates for Windows:
Start button --> Settings --> Update & Security --> Windows Update --> Check for updates

If none of these steps works, I suggest resetting Edge/Internet Explorer browser settings to see if the error still exists.
For Edge: edge://settings --> Reset settings --> Restore settings to their default values.
For IE: Internet Options --> Advanced --> Reset Internet Explorer Settings --> Reset.
