SharePoint site doesn't display a member list

I am a Global Admin for our 365 account and I created a SharePoint site for some of our users (some internal and some external i.e. guests). I will report that I did this as the MS instructions say: I created a Group and put all the people in it, then associated the Group with the SharePoint site. I will add that I am also an owner and member of this site.

I would like the SharePoint site to display automatically all the members of the site for all the users there to see (I am getting asked "Is person X already in this site?"). I cannot find information on how to accomplish this. What I can find on the MS site is that this is a known problem on SharePoint.

Is there a way to do this other than me manually creating a list and adding it to the site (like as a PDF)?

    Hi @Chas Etheridge ,

    1.There are usually two ways to view group members:
    1)Expand the upper right corner to view the members of the M365 group

    2)Click on the group in Site Permission to view SharePoint group members.

    2.For those who are directly granted permissions, that is, those who have unique permissions for list/library, you could go to check permission or check the User Information list.
    1)Check Permission
    Site Settings->Site permissions->Advanced permissions settings->Check Permissions

    2)The SharePoint user information list is a hidden list and is only visible to SharePoint administrators. It can be accessed via the browser by navigating to “/_catalogs/users/simple.aspx” from your site.210706-screenshot-2022-06-13-152759.png
