Unable to create DFS Replication

Very familiar with setting up DFS Namespaces and Replications.

Today, I was setting up a new Folder and Replication for the company Public drive when I came across an error I have never experienced.
When the wizard starts to initialize and configure the Replication, I am halted at: "Update folder security" with the following error on BOTH servers: "Security cannot be set on the replication folder. The parameter is incorrect"

Current toplology:

Server1 Hosts shared folder: Public
Server1 services installed: DFS NameSpace, DFS Replication
Server2 services installed: DFS NameSapce, DFS Replication

The Goal: Our Public drive folder is currently hosted on server1 and I would like it to be replicated to server2. From there I will change the GPO setting for the current network drive of Public to be changed from <\server1\Public> to <\domain.local\SharedDrives\Public

I have posted the steps I took, in order. Any insight would be great. I've checked Event Viewer in Applications, System, DFS and Security on both servers and neither are posting errors or logs for the error.

    Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out. I can understand you are having issues related to DFS replication folder.

Please note that DFS is depends on AD and Replication .

In your case please ensure AD replication is good in health and All are Synced.

Disable any Antivirus program or Windows firewall you may have for temporary purpose.

Please additional troubleshooting please check DFS event logs of your DFS server.
