Visual basic 6 Program runs slow on Windows 10

When the customer was running our VB6 program on Windows 7, it ran fast with no issues. When they upgraded to Windows 10, the speed dropped down to about half. It now takes about a minute to load. I've tried useing compatibility mode set to XP SP3 and require administrator. The program is faster, but I want a more permanate solution.

    Very hard to say why it is slow without knowing anything about the program. Do keep in mind VB6 was released 24 years ago and is no longer supported.
