How does incremental restore works in DPM 2019?

I have implemented MS DPM 2019 as a backup solution. But sometimes incremental backup fails. So I just wanted to understand the incremental backup procedure and how the restore works? also if you could help giving below ans

1. I have scheduled 6:30 AM full backup and hourly incremental backup.
2. Let's say the full backup is successful but 1 PM incremental backup is fail but 2, 3, 4, 5 PM backup is successful so in case of any disaster will I be able to restore the data from 3 PM incremental backup?

Incremental synchronizations require less time than performing an express full backup. However, the time required to recover data increases as the number of synchronizations increases. This is because DPM must restore the last full backup and then restore and apply all the incremental synchronizations up to the point in time selected for recovery.

To enable faster recovery time, DPM regularly performs an express full backup, a type of synchronization that updates the replica to include the changed blocks.
