Hi All,

I have a server running on windows 2008 r2 sp2 standard and want to upgrade it to 2012 r2 standard version. But whenever I mount the ISO and trigger the upgrade I get a error like attached below and the installation fails.

  1. Server restart and trying again the installation is not working
  2. There are no anti-virus programs running on the server that is blocking the upgrade
  3. The server has enough resources w.r.t RAM, CPUs, C drive space.

P.S - Building a new server and migrating the applications to the new server is not an option available for me here. so kindly take out this option.211895-microsoftteams-image.png

Any help would be appreciated. TIA.

An in-place upgrade is risky and can be problematic. Better option is to clean install and migrate roles over. You can also review the log files.
