I have office installed but I don't have this path:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\Shared\Visual Studio Tools for Office\PIA\Office14\Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word.dll

How do I get this fixed? I have tried reinstalling office and that did not work. Do I have to completely uninstall office and reinstall? Is there a repair option? Why is this not building this path?

Link here:

suggest its suppose to be installed with Office but its not.

What version of visual studio and office are you using. The 14 folder is for office 2010.

VSTO is the old style of office plug-ins and only support by .net 4.*. The Microsoft Office developer tools probably are only supported up to version vs 2019.

Note: The newer office add-ins are cross platform and written in JavaScript.
