Using Remote Desktop on MacOS to access remote Windows 10/11: Logitech mouse clicks behave erratically

Background:
I use the "Microsoft Remote Desktop" app on my iMac 27" running MacOS Monterey, and use it to connect to a laptop running Windows 10 Pro.
I have both a Apple Mouse and a Logitech mouse connected to the iMac via Bluetooth.

Issue:
Right-clicking using the Logitech mouse on the remote Windows 10 works erratically; sometimes it closes windows, right-click menus sometimes pop-up, sometimes don't.
Left clicking to drag using the Logitech mouse (M305) on the local MacOS (e.g. to drag Finder windows around), as well as on the remove Windows 10 sometimes works, but most times it loses contact with the item that it's dragging a few seconds into the drag-and hold.

I've tried two different Logitech mice, no different.
This issue makes using the remote Windows desktop via the Remote Desktop app untenable.
The Logitech mice works properly with a Windows machine directly, via Bluetooth and dongle.

I can't pinpoint whether this issue is the Mac mouse/bluetooth, or the Remote Desktop App (note the left-click behavior of the Logitech mouse is erratic while dragging Mac Finder windows around).

Any suggestions or analysis appreciated.

Thank you.
