How do I upgrade from Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019 (1809) to Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 (21H2)?

Hello,

I am just wondering how or is it even possible to upgrade out of Windows 10 Enterprise 1809 to the Windows 10 Enterprise 21H2 version?
All I'm really aiming to do is to be able to download the xbox app or Forza 5 on the windows store app, neither of which I can do with my current windows version.

I have tried downloading the ISO files and updating that way, but the options to retain files are all greyed out.

Hi Kevin,
Try this one upgrade form one version of LTSC to another
I log into the computer as an admin.
I uninstall the anti-virus as this can stop the upgrade from working.
I copy the Windows LTSC files to a folder on the desktop.
I run the setup.exe, and choose to keep all files and folders.
The upgrade runs, and it takes about an hour.
After its finished, I reinstall the anti-virus.

Hi there,

LTSC cannot be upgraded via WSUS or any other Windows Update method. You must run an in-place upgrade to move from one version of LTSC to another.

LTSC will never get automatic feature updates: that would defeat the purpose of using the LTSC in the first place.
