HI everyone,

Hope you are all doing well. I am new in this Q&A while been using social.technet (some minor questions about this). But hope you can help with the major one.
\
I have a standalone server in DMZ running 2016. Now I need to set up an Active Directory user service account to run a service on the server. And I did open up the firewall so the ports (mentioned in the link) are open between the DMZ and the LAN. (https://help.okta.com/en/prod/Content/Topics/Directory/ad-agent-install-dmzports.htm)

I also change the dns server of it matching the policy on the firewall. (allow the dmz server using the ports point to that domain controller which is also one of our internal dns)

However, I still got an error saying either the user account or password is wrong. What else I miss?

Finally... related to the tech net. Would all our old posts in technet be transfer to this new place? I coudl not find those in my account here... How do I back it up or review those old posts?

Thank you for your help. Stay safe.

1 - Have you joined the domain yet?
2 - No, threads from MSDN/TechNet will not be migrated to QnA. MSDN/TechNet forums will be read-only for the foreseeable future.
