Can I purchase and install Excel as a standalone application to be used with Windows 10 for IOT? Where do I go to purchase that?

Hey Sean,
I've really had no success on this issue. I've contacted two distributors, an OEM, and scoured the Office 365 website. I still can't seem to find a way to purchase Excel that doesn't require a recurring charge or a network connection for activation.

I need to install Excel on Windows IoT that will not have an internet connection and will be a dedicated device that monitors factory automation systems. Security concerns prevent us from having this hardware connected to an external network and we need to license to be permanent.

I find it hard to believe that a version of Excel that meets these requirements doesn't exist.

I would appreciate any specific advice you might have. I have been unable to reach anyone at Microsoft directly.

Since Windows has to be activated, can you activate Windows and Excell when the device is in manufacturing?

The alternative is to use OpenOffice or LibreOffice.
