What happend when My P2 trail licenses expire, while my users are already licensed for AD P1 and EOP?

Hi Folks,

My Requirements, Currently we have Exchange Online Protection assigned to our users, we are looking to test Defender for 365 P2 for 30 days using trail licenses.

I was reviewing this article:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/commerce/subscriptions/what-if-my-subscription-expires?view=o365-worldwide

Unfortunately, non of them had a clear visibility on what happen, when Defender for 365 P2 expire while I have EOP!
My Expectations: Exchange Mailboxes, and OneDrive should continue to function normally, since Defender for 365 P2 expired and My EOP licenses is active.

Did you happen to read read any article that confirm the same?

Only functionality directly dependent on the P2 license will stop working, you should see no changes in normal operations within mailboxes or OneDrives.

Hi @JanNuaman-2253 , michev is correct but I wanted to add this document. Basically whatever relies on your subscription will stop working, but everything else still with a license or free will remain the same. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Like the replies above, there will be no impact in normal operations within mailboxes or OneDrives. Only the services provided by P2 are not available.
