OneDrive on Mac keeps deleting the same shortcut with every sync update

I created a shortcut by mistake instead of syncing the folder from Onedrive into my MacOS.
Delete the shortcut and now every time one drive is syncing, I get a notification the "A shortcut was deleted .... "

I also can not sync that folder, I get the error msg that I already have a shortcut for that folder.

anyone knows how to fix this?
Thank you

    Hi @KicoVA ,
May I know how did you delete the shortcut to the folder? Is it the method shown below?

If it is the same method, I suggest you reset OneDrive. For more information, you can refer to this.

    Hi @KicoVA

I find your another similar thread on Microsoft Answer Community, "OneDrive on Mac keeps deleting the same shortcut with every sync update“.
It seems that your issue has gone away.

To help other users on Q&A forum who encounter the same issue, I will make a simple summary.

    • To delete the shortcut in OneDrive, we can remove shortcut from OneDrive Online.

    • If the shortcut is not on OneDrive online, we can unlink OneDrive account from local machine.
The local OneDrive sync folder will become a normal folder, and then please delete the OneDrive sync folder directly, your files will still be accessed on OneDrive online.
Then please sign your account back in your OneDrive.
